BLÄSSE

Berlin, December 1979, back from New York, Frieder Butzmann invited me to performe as a dancer in his band „Liebesgier“ (love greed) with Gudrun Gut and Nancy at the Festival „Noises for the 80s“ in Hamburg. A hardcore punk girl was beating me up later, saying that „Liebesgier“ is a betrayal of Punk. Frieder and the 14-year-old musician Alexander von Borsig aka Alexander Hacke saved me. Since my band Mania D. got lost in NYC, Alex asked me if I like to join his band BLÄSSE (Paleness), a Berlin two-man synthesizer band with Richard Hirsch. BLÄSSE poster made by Alex.
